About the project
Onyx is an e-commerce platform built to deliver a smooth, reliable, and visually appealing online shopping experience. The project’s mission was to combine modern design principles with functionality, creating a platform that boosted trust and conversion.
By offering an elegant and intuitive interface, Onyx positioned itself as a professional online store capable of competing in a crowded e-commerce market. Its clean design and structured flow made product discovery and purchasing straightforward.
My role
The Onyx platform was built on WordPress with WooCommerce as the foundation for its e-commerce functionality. For simpler informational pages, I leveraged the Divi plugin, configuring layouts and ensuring consistency across the site. The e-commerce flow went beyond standard setups by implementing the Product Configurator for WooCommerce plugin, which allowed customers to personalize their vinyl orders with unique options. To handle more advanced requirements, we developed a custom child theme with PHP and functions, enabling product tracking, order status visualization, and additional details such as playlists and images.
My role focused on ensuring design fidelity and web adaptability across the entire platform, making all the components — Divi layouts, WooCommerce product flows, and the custom child theme — work seamlessly together. I worked on the user-facing design while also aligning the technical configuration to guarantee a smooth, responsive, and scalable shopping experience.
